We set out with a singular mission: to create a cake so marvellous it redefined indulgence. The secret lies in the foundation—we’ve incorporated molten dark chocolate directly into the batter to achieve a texture that is as bold as it is blissful.
The Midnight Infusion is a deep, dense masterpiece that manages to be both incredibly fudgy and intensely flavourful, designed for those who demand more from a chocolate cake.
The Elements of the Infusion:

The Sponge: A spectacular, heavy-crumb dark chocolate cake, ripples with the sophisticated bitterness of freshly brewed coffee and the aromatic warmth of cardamom.

From the moment of unveiling, it was clear that my birthday cake was not merely a dessert, but a veritable masterpiece of confectionery art. Procured by the discerning taste of my household's chief executive (my esteemed wife), the cake presented itself as a rich tapestry of flavours, each more sumptuous than the last. The structural integrity of the cake was impeccable—a harmonious blend of sponge, chocolate, and cream that held under the weight of a diverse bounty of seasonal fruits. Each slice was a study in balance: the richness of the cake, which might on its own verge on overwhelming, was masterfully counteracted by the tartness and zest of the fruit topping.
We walked in to collect our cake, and loved the smell of incense burning in the shop.
Unfortunately, our cake's meringue topping was being made while the incense was burning, and when we ate it later, that's all we could taste. Most unpleasant. the cake itself was a bit too dense and claggy for our taste.
Dead and dying plants in dried-out pots everywhere were disappointing. As was a cake under a cloche on the counter with days-old fruit that had completely dried out.
All-in-all, a disappointing experience which we will not repeat.
